2017 Short-read Workshop Pre-Registration

The dates for the 2017 Short-Read Workshop have been set. Given the popularity of the workshop, we are providing interested individuals with the opportunity to pre-register to an email list. Members of this list will be notified of open registration prior to public announcement.

**This will not register you for the class itself!*

Workshop dates:  July 10-21, Monday-Friday
Class time:  9am to noon
Optional homework session:  1pm to 3pm
Location:  Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building, East Campus, CU Boulder

The goal of this workshop is to teach the fundamental computational skills necessary for many short read sequencing analyses. In the first five days of this course participants will learn basic Unix/Linux, how to use large compute servers, read quality control, and read mapping. In the last three days we will cover the basic fundamentals of commonly used genomic short read sequencing approaches (DNA-seq, RNA-seq, and ChIP-seq). Our goal is to provide the basic skills necessary for participants to be enabled to learn how to analyze their own data after the course (though some self-study after the course will be necessary).
