Acknowledge the Core

How to Acknowledge the Core and its Microscopes

It is essential that the use of the BioFrontiers Advanced Light Microscopy Core is correctly acknowledged in your publications, presentations, and posters.  The acknowledgement allows us to demonstrate our impact on the local scientific community thereby facilitating the procurement of funding to acquire new imaging technologies and provide cutting edge services.

Any user of the facility should use the following acknowledgement for the corresponding instrument:

Nikon A1R Laser Scanning Confocal and TIRF:

For laser scanning confocal microscopy: The imaging work was performed at the BioFrontiers Institute Advanced Light Microscopy Core. Laser scanning confocal microscopy was performed on an Nikon A1R microscope acquired by the generous support of the NIST-CU Cooperative Agreement award number 70NANB15H226.

For TIRF microscopy: The imaging work was performed at the BioFrontiers Institute Advanced Light Microscopy Core. TIRF microscopy was performed on an Nikon A1R microscope acquired by the by the generous support of the NIST-CU Cooperative Agreement award number 70NANB15H226.

Nikon Spinning Disc Confocal: 

The imaging work was performed at the BioFrontiers Institute Advanced Light Microscopy Core. Spinning disc confocal microscopy was performed on Nikon Ti-E microscope acquired by the generous support of the BioFrontiers Institute and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

Nikon N-STORM:

For super resolution imaging: The imaging work was performed at the BioFrontiers Institute Advanced Light Microscopy Core. Super resolution microscopy was performed on a Nikon Ti-E microscope acquired by the generous support of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

For TIRF microscopy: The imaging work was performed at the BioFrontiers Institute Advanced Light Microscopy Core. TIRF microscopy was performed on a Nikon Ti-E microscope acquired by the generous support of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

Molecular Devices ImageXpress:

The imaging work was performed at the BioFrontiers Institute Advanced Light Microscopy Core. The Molecular Devices ImageXpress was funded by NIH grant 1S10RR026680-01A1.

Olympus Widefield:

The imaging work was performed at the BioFrontiers Institute Advanced Light Microscopy Core. Widefield microscopy was performed on an Olympus IX-81 microscope acquired through the generous support of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. 

Nikon Widefield:

The imaging work was performed at the BioFrontiers Institute Advanced Light Microscopy Core. Widefield microscopy was performed on a Nikon Te-2000 microscope was funded by NIH grant R01CA107098S1.

Analysis Workstation:

The data analysis and visualization work was performed at the BioFrontiers Institute Advanced Light Microscopy Core. The Analysis Workstation and the software package Imaris were funded by NIH 1S10RR026680-01A1.
